Candidates can apply online from 23/04/2023 to 22/05/2023 using the websites of West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (prb.wb.gov.in) and West Bengal Police (wbpolice.gov.in). Candidates have a valid personal email ID and mobile no. which should be kept active till the completion of this recruitment process.
Candidates are required to upload the following scanned copy in JPG format:

Selection Procedure (নির্বাচন পদ্ধতি)
Selection of candidates for the West Bengal Police Recruitment 2023 will be made through the following stages:
- 1. PRELIMINARY WRITTEN TEST (Full Marks - 100)
- 2. PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT TEST (PMT)
- 3. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET)
- 4. FINAL WRITTEN EXAMINATION (Full Marks - 85).
- 5. INTERVIEW (Full Marks - 15).
- 6. VERIFICATION OF CHARACTER ANTECEDENTS
- 7. MEDICAL EXAMINATION.
1. PRELIMINARY WRITTEN TEST (Screening Test)
- Question Type: MCQ based objective type.
- Total Questions: 100 Nos.
- Total Marks: 100.
- Time Duration: One (01) Hour.
- Language of Question Set: Bengali & Nepali.
There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer and the Preliminary Written Test shall be from the following subjects:
- i) General Awareness and General Knowledge : 40 Marks
- ii) Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) : 30 Marks
- iii) Reasoning : 30 Marks.
2. PHYSICAL MEASUREMENT TEST (PMT)
Candidates who qualify in Preliminary Written Test will be allowed to take part in PMT as furnished below.
3. PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST (PET)
Candidates who qualify in PMT will be allowed to take part in PET as furnished below.
4. FINAL WRITTEN EXAMINATION
Details of the Final Exam are given below:- Question Type: MCQ based objective type.
- Total Questions: 85 Nos.
- Total Marks: 85.
- Time Duration: One (01) Hour.
- Language of Question Set: English, Bengali & Nepali.
All the candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called to appear in the Final Written Examination to be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. There will be negative marking for each incorrect answer.
Question of the Final Written Examination shall be from the following subjects:
i) General Awareness and General Knowledge - 25 Marks
ii) English - 10 Marks
iii) Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) - 25 Marks
iv) Reasoning and Logical Analysis - 25 Marks.
